The Northern Greece Entrepreneurs Cultural Society, the Navarino Network, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) of the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, City College, are organizing the 3rd Thessaloniki International Symposium in World Affairs, on October 12, 2014, at Olympion theatre.

EFEPAE organized Conference entitled “State aid and Development” in Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens. The Conference was attended by representatives of the Government, Task Force for Greece, business associations, entrepreneurs and specialists on development and social matters. Mr. Algianakoglou, President of EFEPAE held the opening speech, followed by the speeches of the Deputy Minister of Development, Mr. Konstantinopoulos Odysseus and the Secretary General of public Investments - NSRF, Mr. Giannousis Georgios.

KEPA's executives participated in Design Days 2014, in Brussels. This year's edition of the EU Design Days focus on the two themes "economic value of design" and "how to help young designers and enterprises to benefit from design" and it came with three new partnerships; Microsoft innovation Centre, South Africa and Brussels Design September.

In September 26^th, Microfinance Centre released an article in its MFC Highlights Blog, presenting the story of microcredit in Greece, KEPA's identification of the market's needs and the current situation in the country.

In 19/09/2014 the Special Managing Authority of the Operational Programme “Competitiveness – Entrepreneurship” hold a workshop on microfinance. The workshop was attended by executives of the Authority and the General Secreteriat of Industry. Mr. Neoklis Stamkos, International Programmes Department Manager of KEPA; coordinated the workshop, together with Mr. Grzegorz Galusek, Executive Director at Microfinance Centre (KEPA is Microfinance Centre’s member).

Ashoka Greece is organizing an event in Thessaloniki September 24 with three Ashoka Fellows from the US, Germany and Turkey. They will share their stories as social entrepreneurs leading new approaches to empower young people, and would like to connect with local organizations working with youth in Greece. This Changemakers Day event is organized in partnership with the City of Thessaloniki, the Metropolitan Development Agency of Thessaloniki, and the Thessaloniki European Youth Capital 2014 campaign.

KEPA's European Programmes Department successfully organized on Thursday 11/09/2014, a Design workshop entitled: "Design services in the private sector ". The workshop was organized for KEPA's executives and officers, in the frame of Thessaloniki International Fair 2014, at the stand of the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness pavilion 15.

The Summer edition of Panorama magazine offers an update on the progress of adoption of Partnership Agreements, and goes into detail on the first agreement adopted – Denmark's – with an interview with the heads of the Danish Managing Authorities. We also look back at ten years of enlargement with an overview of the progress made by the ten Member States who joined the Union in 2004 and how they have benefitted from Cohesion Policy.

EU manufacturing possesses a number of competitive strengths that should be leveraged to promote economic growth, despite the current difficult economic environment. This is the conclusion of the two reports on industrial competitiveness released by the Commission today. However to ensure that growth does not stall, the EU and Member States urgently need to address a number of areas of concern: investment, access to finance, public administration, access to foreign markets, innovation and energy prices.

On Tuesday 9/9/2014, KEPA's executives had a meeting with the newly-elected Prefect of Western Macedonia, Mr. Theodore Karypidis in a very friendy atmosphere. KEPA was highly-represented by its President (in the same time EFEPAE's President) Mr. Algianakoglou Thomas Fokion , its CEO Mr.Skotidas Spyros and its Publicity and Information Manager Mr. Tsitsopoulos Ioannis.

KEPA’s executives participated in the “Future Design – Innovation in a Digital World” conference, 03/09/2014, Denmark. The conference was part of the European project "Design for Europe", carried out by a consortium of 14 organizations from all across Europe, including KEPA.
