The European Commission published its third monitoring report in which it gathers good practices of projects across Europe dealing with working conditions, employment, social affairs and inclusion. This monitoring is part of the EU's Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI). These good practice examples can form a basis for policy recommendations, which may be useful to the policy-maker designing or implementing policy interventions in this area.

This conference seeks to exchange knowledge and experience concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of supporting innovative entrepreneurship at territorial levels in the context of implementation of smart specialisation strategies. The conference is jointly organised by the Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Commission. It takes place in Brussels on 26 January 2016, from 10.00 to 16.00.

The Directorate-General Regional and Urban Policy is pleased to announce that the first call of the Urban Innovative Actions initiative will be launched on Tuesday 15^th December. This call will be worth EUR 80 Mio in total and will be focused on Energy transition, Urban Poverty (with a focus on deprived urban neighborhoods), the inclusion of migrants and refugees and jobs & skills in the local economy.
